The summary of changes in STANDARD templates from October 2021 [Updated]

On September 20th we have released new versions of the STANDARD templates including a couple of changes and new features. The password field works better with browser password managers, the templates now use 100% width of the screen, the grouping of pick-up points is now also available in Open Street Map plus the voucher and gift card payment interface has become more intuitive.

Password field works better with browser password managers

Online security is essential and coming up with hard-to-guess passwords has become a thing of the past since modern browsers allow you to automatically create strong and secure passwords with a single click. It is possible by using the function of suggesting new passwords STANDARD templates that you will increase the security of your customers' data and facilitate the registration process in your shop. Automatic generation of passwords does not require additional configuration. Just update the template to the latest version and use the password suggestion option during the registration in the shop.

Templates now use the 100% width of the screen

On desktop devices, it is increasingly common to see monitors with a resolution of at least 1920x1080px, the so-called Full HD. Observing that more and more shop owners expect in the personalization process rebuilding of the template to use the full width (so called 100%) from now on we have introduced a change to the STANDARD templates to make them work this way. The templates use the full width of the browser window in the range up to 1920px allowing much more efficient use of screen space. Above this width, there is still free space which does not make the page unnaturally stretched. The larger width on a large monitor allows more products to be displayed in the recommendation areas and on the products lists. The changes in width do not affect the checkout order process, thus guaranteeing the existing level of focus and user comfort.

Grouping of delivery points also in Open Street Map

Grouping of delivery points and InPost Parcel Post markers used so far only after the activation of Google Maps are now also available in the free Leaflet maps (OpenStreetMaps). From now on, you do not need to use Google solutions to enjoy a comfortable and intuitive interface when selecting the nearest parcel machine or parcel post of InPost.

Refreshed interface for voucher and gift card payments

By refreshing the payment icons in the checkout order process we have also improved the Voucher and Gift Card payment interfaces. The changes are not only cosmetic but above all make the interface more intuitive, making it easier to pay for purchases using vouchers and gift cards in the upcoming shopping frenzy.

  • The progress bar in the checkout order process is now clickable, making it easier to return to previous steps
  • We have improved the payment options list
  • We have improved the list recommendation area on mobile devices
  • The saving information "-10% Limited Promotion" has been replaced with "Discount 10%"
  • Product code has been replaced with the more universal term "Symbol"

Update 2021-10-26

Considering that STANDARD templates using the full width of the screen in many cases resulted in a need of redesigning the banners and replacing product pictures, which not all stores were ready for, we have restored the standard container width in the October 26th revision.
