All sales documents are issued in store billing currency and invoices cannot be issued in other currency. But you can change currency for order directly and invoice will be issued in billing currency, but values of all products will be displayed also in desired currency along with the exchange rate.
Language and currency are absolutely independent values in sales documents. Currency in sales document is the store billing currency. When it comes to change currency in order, document is issued in billing currency and with foreign currency. Invoice is always issued in main language (set independently for printable documents). If language used in panel is different than main language for printable documents, also translations are included on them. If the customer language is not present in the system, translation always comes in English.
Go to ADMINISTRATION / Currency configuration. You can set there a number of decimal places prices should be rounded up/down to.
Products prices are exchanged to base currency and all orders are placed in it. Payments made by on-line payment systems are always processed in base currency. Please always remember about slight differences in exchange rates, that can cause differences in prices.
All documents are always settled in store billing currency and are independent from language and currency settings of particular order (just additional sum with exchange rate will be added). Thanks to support for multi-currency, you can display prices in Euro in i.e. German version and issue invoices in two currencies and exchange rate.
When you buy products abroad - in different currency - there is a great risk, that - because of exchange rates differences - prices displayed in store will be not compliant with margin and prices settings during accepting supplies.
Solution to this problem is setting sale price in currency, in which the supply will be accepted (i.e. USD or EUR) without displaying it in store.
To perform this operation, you need to:
1) Turn on currency visibility in panel and select exchange mode:
To do this, go to ADMINISTRATION / Currency configuration.
2) On product card or by means of Group edition (for multiple products simultaneously) change the product currency.
After this operation performed this price will be always displayed in foreign currency in panel and in store - in your base currency as a result of exchange calculation.
You should change order currency to one desired by you. Invoice will be issued in your base currency, but it will also contain prices in order currency along with exchange rate.
First of all, you should remember to choose the base currency of your store in which you make payments. If one of your online stores is intended for customers from a different country, you can add products which prices will be presented in the currency of this country, but you must remember that their final price will depend on the current conversion rate (from the base currency to the foreign one).
Using the ADMINISTRATION / Fiscal and settlement settings module, you can choose the default way of determining the currency of the order - in each case it depends on the date of sale placed on the sales document and you can set it on the day of sale, or on the working day preceding the day of sale. In addition, on each order you can manually change either the exchange rate (by setting an unusual conversion rate, for example) or the date of sale of the order, which will automatically affect the exchange rate, which is dependent from that date.
In the same module, using the form Sale date settings on sales documents you can choose how the sales date should be generated on the sales documents. As with the exchange rate on the order, you can change the date of sale for each order individually.
