Activate Dynamic Pricing and manage your pricing policy conveniently in your shop and marketplace

Dynamic Pricing module allows you to define ready-made rules for price management. This ensures that your online shop will always be cheaper and more attractive for the customer than a similar offer in the marketplace. Drawing traffic directly to your shop is beneficial, because in the marketplace you have to pay an additional commission on sales.

The module is free and can be easily configured under MARKETING & INTEGRATIONS / Dynamic Pricing & Product Groups / Dynamic Pricing. The module works with two pricing control strategies. Learn about the first one.

Dynamic configuration of commodity prices - in marketplaces more expensive strategy

The "in marketplaces more expensive" strategy is recommended for producers and sellers of unique and niche products. How does it work?

If you set a higher price for your products in the marketplace than in the online shop and additionally advertise your products in Google Shopping as part of the service Google Ads from IdoSell, you have a chance to direct customers directly to your shop. Cheaper products are more likely to be displayed by Google, which increases impressions and clicks.

How to set up the "in marketplaces more expensive" strategy? Select the goods for which you want to apply Dynamic Pricing. In the tab Prices in the tab of commodity edition, set calculate prices according to the rules set in the Dynamic Pricing module as active (changing this option for more commodities is possible with the GET functionality).

Then go to module Dynamic Pricing and configure rules.

• Select the marketplace you want to set prices for (below is an example for Allegro)
• Indicate the percentage by which you want to increase the price for your goods on Allegro. Choose from the prices:

- Gross retail price
- Last gross purchase price
- Average gross purchase price
- Gross minimum price
- Price for automatic calculation

• If you sell on Allegro or eBay, you can select the percentage by which you want to increase the price of promoted items. You can do this by setting Increase on promoted offers. If the commodity is to be displayed in the e-shop, it shall be displayed in the e-shop. It works for commodities that have Additional options ticked in the auction settings profile (bold, underline or highlight). The surcharge shall not be reflected in the price displayed in the commodity edit tab, but only in the auction.
• Set active surcharge: yes
• If the commodity is to be displayed in the e-shop, it shall be displayed only in the e-shop.

Changes on commodity card

After activating the price increase in the marketplace, the new price will be calculated according to the formula

The new price shall be displayed on the commodity edit card in the base price section for the selected auction services.

See example for the commodity listed on Allegro and increasing the price by 30%:

In the commodity edit tab, the prices calculated by Dynamic Pricing shall be disabled for manual editing.

Important tips

• You can indicate the increase of the indicated price for one, two or three services at the same time. Each setting shall be saved separately in the tab of a given service by clicking Save button
• If you change the price on the card of commodity edition, the new price shall be calculated automatically for the marketplace. You can choose to change the price from among:

- Gross retail price
- Last gross purchase price
- Average gross purchase price
- Gross minimum price
- Price for automatic calculation

• API change of base price for the selected marketplace shall NOT affect the auction price update mechanisms.
• New prices displayed on the commodity edit card are available for other channels, e.g. API.
• The new prices are NOT sent to the backup. This way, when you disable Dynamic Pricing, your previous prices will be restored.
• Activation of the in marketplaces more expensive strategy shall activate the automatic Update prices on ongoing offers.
• If the new price is less than or equal to zero, the default/base price for that site will be set. When is it possible? The new price can be less than or equal to when the in marketplaces more expensive mechanism does not have the data needed for the calculation, e.g. the given commodity does not have prices completed.
• The status of the switch Recalculate prices according to rules set in the module Dynamic Pricing is not currently backed up

Goods excluded from in marketplaces more expensive mechanism

- Goods which have the mode of setting prices in the shop: Retail price on phone, All prices on phone, Formula for price calculation
- Types of commodity: commodity with configurator
- The commodity that has already set any automatisms for the prices in the marketplace

For these commodities, the message shall be displayed: The commodity is not included in the Dynamic Pricing mechanism

Sizes

If you want to set different prices for different sizes, it is possible to do so in the in marketplaces more expensive strategy. The new price for such a commodity will be calculated based on the price for the given size.

Asking price and minimum price for auction

- If the prices for a given sales site were previously based on its base price, Dynamic Pricing will set the "Reserve price" and "Starting price" to the value of the "Buy now" price.
- If these prices are not set for the given item, the Buy now price will be assigned to it
