Scanner — hardware and system requirements
Scanner application is optimized for the following minimum hardware requirements:
- Regular access to the Internet (using Wi-Fi or 3G)
- Windows CE 6.0 or Windows XP operating system
- Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 library
- Minimum screen resolution of QVGA 240 x 320 px
- 624 MHz processor
- 256 MB RAM
- 512 MB Flash memory
- Microsoft SQL Server Compact 3.5 (Windows 7 / 8.x 64-bit requires installing SQL Server Compact 3.5 x86 32-bit first, and then SQL Server Compact 3.5 x64 64-bit.)
One of the devices meeting the requirements listed above is the Datalogic Skorpio X3, on which the Scanner application underwent extensive testing. However, the user can freely choose the target device to be used. Before you purchase a license, make sure that the Scanner application is supported on your chosen device.

Support devices with function keys
Scanner supports the function keys, allowing you to easily navigate through the interface of our application. Datalogic Skorpio X3 data collector is example of its use:
Support of devices that do not have function keys:
Not all data collectors have physical function keys on a keyboard. M3 Orange is an example of such a device which, apart the support of the built-in barcode scanner uses an external application, for example ScanEmul.
If you have a device that does not have physical keys, in the Scanner application you can disable their use. As a result, your device will work with your application without the problems associated with lack of function keys.
